Introduction
The RoboCup 2D simulation Soccer League is the oldest of the RoboCup Simulation competitions. It is based on the RoboCup Soccer Simulator that enables two teams of 11 simulated autonomous robots plus an autonomous coach agent to play a game of soccer with very realistic rules and game play. Due to its stability the RoboCup Soccer Simulator is a very good research and educational tool for multi-agent systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Since teams competing at the 2D RoboCup Simulation League have settled on a high competitive standard and in order to promote scientific research, the qualification will be based on a measurement of the quality of the team’s scientific work expressed by a submitted Team Description Paper and logfiles with appropriate annotations. In RoboCup 2012 up to 24 teams will be allowed to participate in the 2D Simulation competitions. To register all teams have to provide a Team Description Paper and, in case they are based on another team under a license, they have to attach the agent source code.
Schedule
The schedule of 2D competition is aligned with the general RoboCup 2012 schedule:
Team Pre-Registration Deadline: February 29, 2012 – 23:59 UTC
Team Qualification Material Submission: March 6, 2012- 23:59 UTC
Early Registration: March 1 – April 30, 2012
Regular Registration: May 1 – May 31, 2012 (No team registration accepted after May 31)
Late registration: June 1 – June 23 2012 (Team members only)

Hai Oxsy!

Prima editie oficiala s-a desfasurat la Nagoya, in anul 1997. Concursul s-a diversificat de la an la an, in prezent avand 4 mari categorii: RoboCupSoccer, RoboCupRescue, RoboCup@Home si RoboCupJunior. RoboCupSoccer cuprinde urmatoarele 5 subcategorii: Simulation League, Small Size Robot League, Middle Size Robot League, Standard Platform League si Humanoid League.

As teams of 2D RoboCup Simulation League have settled on a comparable standard and to promote scientific research, the qualification is not based on the placings of an online tournament anymore, but solely on the quality of scientific work expressed by a submitted Team Description Paper and logfiles with annotations.
In RoboCup 2011 competition up to 24 teams will be allowed to participate in 2D Simulation League. These teams are composed of:
– top 3 teams of RoboCup 2010
– the organizing team(s) (if any)
– all other teams will be qualified in order of rank determined by peer-reviewing the TDPs and other qualification material
The TDPs have to be of adequate quality. This also applies to top 3 and organizing teams. If not enough teams manage to provide papers of adequate standard, the number of teams qualified is determined by the number of TDPs living up to the reviewers’ expectations.
All teams which wish to participate in RoboCup 2011 Simulation League 2D competitions have to pre-register by February 18th, 2011 latest. In order to pre-register, every team has to fill out the registration form here. Then to participate in qualification, a team has to submit a Team Description Paper as well as logfiles showing the team’s gameplay and a separate appendix to the TDP. The deadline for submission the material is March 1st, 2011. The notification of qualification will be received until March 17th, 2011. Early Registration starts the day after on March 18th, 2011. Most actual updates can be checked on the official website, the WIKI and the newsgroup!
